The Treatment Process

The treatment process begins with an initial consultation at our office, where an expert injector can evaluate your expression lines, ask questions about your medical history, learn more about your cosmetic or aging-related goals, and determine which of these products is the right choice for you.

Some patients use both products to treat different expression lines: others just need one. Once we create your treatment plan and confirm that one of these products is a safe and effective choice for you, we can schedule your injection appointment.

Your Treatment

You won’t have to do much to prepare for this treatment, and when you arrive, we will cleanse the treatment area before administering your injections. If needed, we can apply a topical numbing cream to enhance your comfort, but most patients don’t need it.

The injectables have a very thin, fine needle, and the injection process is quick. The entire treatment can take as little as ten minutes to complete, and you’ll be able to resume your normal daily activities.

Post-Care Instructions

Once your treatment is over, you can return to work or resume your normal daily activities. However, you will need to be mindful of the treatment area and follow the post-treatment instructions to achieve optimal results. You’ll be asked to avoid vigorous exercise for 24 hours post-treatment and environments that raise your body temperature and avoid touching the treatment area.

You should schedule your appointment at a time when you know you can keep your head elevated for at least four hours post-treatment and avoid thinning blood supplements, medications, and alcohol consumption for the first-day post treatment.

What to Expect from the Results

Don’t be surprised if you don’t see an immediate change in your expression lines following your appointment. These injectables take a few days to effectively relax the muscles in the treatment area. You’ll notice improvements in your expression lines within three to seven days of undergoing the treatment process, and the results will continue to improve for 30 days post-treatment.

While these injectables deliver long-lasting results and can help you live wrinkle-free for anywhere from three to six months at a time, you will need to schedule regular follow-up appointments to maintain your results. Follow-up appointments are quick, just like the initial treatment, but will help you maintain your desired appearance long-term.
